The first two rounds of the 2024 Champions of the Future Academy Program, held in Cremona (Italy) at the end of March and Valencia (Spain) in May, have validated the new concept, recently launched by promoter RGMMC, which enables young talent to take part in a top-level international competition and to be detected in complete sporting fairness according to the ‘arrive and drive’ principle. Before kicking off the second half of its season with a much-anticipated tour of the Middle East, the series will complete its third round in Europe at the renowned Franciacorta Karting Track. Belgium’s Priam Bruno in Mini 60, Australia’s James Anagnostiadis in the OK-N Junior category and Spain’s Luna Fluxa Cross in the OK-N category will arrive in Italy with an enviable lead in the provisional standings.Entries completely full at Franciacorta

With full grids expected to in Mini 60 (9-12 years), OK-N Junior (12-14 years) and OK-N Senior (14 years and over) from 26th to 28th July in northern Italy, the field will be packed, guaranteeing lively racing. While currently full, it is still possible to join the waitlist for this unique competition and detection programme for the following three events, simply by contacting RGMMC. A complete package is supplied to each competitor, including chassis, engine, tyres, fuel, awning, trolley and workbench. The driver simply arrives at the circuit with their equipment and their mechanic!

Luna Fluxa Cross at the top of the OK-N ranking

At each event, after Free Practice on Friday, Saturday’s programme is identical to Sunday’s, with Qualifying, two heats and a Final, doubling the chances of a podium finish. With three wins from four Finals, Spain’s Luna Fluxa Cross made a strong impression. France’s Philippe Karras has always finished in the top four and this consistency has earned him 2nd place in the rankings ahead of Lithuania’s Markas Silkunas, who managed to beat Fluxa Cross in Valencia. Behind Ghazi Motlekar, an excellent 4th, are two other Frenchmen: Hugo Herrouin and Jean Karras, Philippe’s twin.

Four finals, four winners in OK-N Junior

Poland’s Kacper Rajpold opened the season victoriously. Since then, Monegasque Ella Hakkinen, Australian James Anagnostiadis and Thai Toby Gale have also taken the top step of the podium. A very regular front-runner, Anagnostiadis currently has 251 points to Rajpold’s 198, Gale’s 186 and Hakkinen’s 159. With three top three finishes to his name, South African William Marshall has slipped into 3rd place with 187 points and is dreaming of a win of his own.

Priam Bruno goes from strength to strength in the Mini 60s

After his 2nd place on Sunday in Cremona, Belgian Priam Bruno won both Finals in Valencia despite strong competition. Swiss Albert Tamm, winner of the season opener, is provisionally 2nd in the series ahead of Emirati Maxim Bobreshov, who proved to be Bruno’s toughest opponent in Spain. Italian Luca Palacio remains a driver to keep an eye on, while Alessandro Truchot will be making his return to Franciacorta after missing the Valencia event and winning once at Cremona.
